GB2VET VETERANS WEEKEND 4 AND 5 AUG 2007.
Reminder that the above Special Event Station will be operational from The
East Park, Holderness Road, Hull. this is a combined SES for the RN, Army
and RAF. Your contact is Bernard G0SWO.

RAFARS TUESDAY UK CW NET FREQUENCY CHANGE.
With effect 1st October 2007 the Frequency for the UK CW 80m net at 1900L
every Tuesday will be on 3565khz and not 3515khz. This change is to
avoid pile-ups with DX in the winter at the low end of 80m. Also amend
your QRZ call book back page accordingly. 

DATES OF 2007 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
11 Sep., 13 Oct (AGM), 13 Nov.
A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.

RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM 2007.
The annual dinner will take place at Haughton Hall, Shifnal Nr Cosford
(TF11 8HG) on Friday 12th Oct. 2007. The AGM is at the RAF Museum Cosford

RAFARS only had one operator at each QTH. Well done, the three of you,
and to Roger G3ZDW for all the admin work.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
On Sat 14 Jul Number of contacts on 3.710 was 44 with also included
GX3ATC at RIAT, GX0RAF, GB2IWM and GB3RN. Conditions fair.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
